The Story Behind Fluffvale

Most cat owners don't realize their living room is quietly too cold for their cat. Not because anything's wrong with the room — it's just built around what feels comfortable to a person, not what a cat's body actually needs. Cats run warmer than we do and lose that heat faster than most owners ever notice.

That's exactly what happened with our own cat. She kept parking herself by the radiator, no matter the time of day, even when the room already felt perfectly warm to us. It didn't make sense at first — the temperature was fine, so why was she always chasing more heat? Turns out it wasn't about the room at all. Cats run a few degrees warmer than we do naturally, and they lose heat faster than they let on, so what feels comfortable to us often isn't quite enough for them.

Once we understood that, we started looking for something built around it — a real, dedicated warm spot, not just a blanket or a guess at what "cozy" means. We couldn't find one we actually trusted, so we built it ourselves.

That became the Fluffvale Warmth Mat: a heat range designed around what a cat's body really needs, with a reinforced cord and a design meant to hold up to years of naps.

We think pet products should be built around what an animal actually needs, not just what looks good on a shelf. That's the whole idea behind Fluffvale — no gimmicks, no overcomplicated features, just something that does its one job well: giving your cat the warm spot she's been quietly asking for, in the only way she knew how.
